painting experiment 1 - Spawn

here's a lil experimentation i was working on.thought of painting over my pencils directly (in this case, a very old Spawn sample page), and i'm finding the process and product really satisfactory.picking mostly muted colors, with red as powerful contrast to give it some spunk.kept the pencils a bit exposed to give it some raw, animal kick.what do you guys think?

i'm thinking if i get enough positive feedback from people, i'm gonna do a sample set with this approach. now that's gonna be fun!
