Rogue Mag AVAILABLE!!!!

Wed Oct 14, 2009, 7:20 AM
hey gang,

just want to inform everyone, especially those of our brothers+sisters in the Philippines, that the Rogue Magazine issue with my latest work is out and available in all fine magazine and book shops all over the country.

it features the magazine's first foray into Graphic Novella, which I am so honored to be invited for...really deep gratitude to Miguel Mari and of course, my co-conspirator, Budjette Tan, who pens a tale of much beloved Trese investigating yet another creepy case. i doubt if this will be printed anywhere else, so try and pick up a copy or 2 (or 3/4...you get the idea) to enjoy a tale of Trese.

thanks for the continued support everyone. take care, stay safe and God bless!

great job sir! I love your take on Trese! It's kinda reminiscent of Alex Maleev's work. It's simply genius!

thanks momopi, glad you liked my interpretation! yep, i figured i'd channel a bit of Maleev for this special. loved that guy ever since his earlier Crow (Kitchen Sink Press) days!
:iconmomopi:
yep. I loved his work on daredevil. it was so surreal that it felt so gritty. The same feel I got from your artwork. 'stig. ;)

sweet fancy moses:wow: awesome artworks:thumbsup: ooooh imma gonna deconstruct it and learn it:D, what are you workin on right now?
:iconmytymark:
love your comment, especially the "sweet fancy moses"!, first time i heard of it, where did that come from!? haha! anyway, thanks for the watch, the fave and the kind words. i'm glad you like my stuff. i basically just draw with how i feel, hence the varying effects...but keeping some standard elements in. just have fun, and try not to be too conscious...that way the product comes out more natural. hope you guys are safe and well there in indonesia, after that earthquake.
:iconghostbastard:
i got sweey fancy moses from a show called seinfeld, what are you working on right now?
:iconmytymark:
ohhhh...that's where it's from. too bad i didn't follow that series faithfully. it was quite brilliant.

in terms of work, there's a contribution for a topselling mag here in the Philippines that I'm so proud of (check out the Rogue Magazine Oct,09 deviation for a teaser:) that's coming out this weekend. there's a couple of anthologies that I'm participating on, so those are also very exciting.

Hello Mark!

Do you know the work of Flavio Colin?
He was a brazilian comic artist that influenced Mignola very much.

Bye!
